how busy is Disneyland on Mother's Day?? Is it wall to wall?

Sundays are usually busy in the afternoon. Mother's Day tends to get busy around lunch, after brunch and church. And this year will be the first year that there is a half marathon on Mother's Day. Race weekends always add additional crowds. So the actual race weekend effect this year is unknown, but wall to wall is definitely a possibility.

It's too bad about the race possibly increasing crowds. I was considering insisting on going this year because others in my extended family have done Mother's Day at DL and have said it's not at all crowded. But I don't know if I want to risk it on a race weekend. Last time we were there on a race weekend, it was packed.

I was there on Mother's Day last year, I thought the crowds were not bad for a Sunday. They even gave every mom a flower at the gates in the morning. As others have said though, this year's race will likely change things.

Of course, every other race weekend falls on a 3 day weekend (Avengers was Veteran's Day week), so it is possible that people will leave early on Sunday instead of staying through to Monday. We'll see how it goes this year.

last year Mother's Day crowd was completely manageable - I am racing Tink and we plan to be in the parks Sunday - we dont fly home til Monday!
It will be interesting to see the race impact on crowd levels on Mother's Day

Grrr!!! My last trip was on Sunday Sept 1,2014. Race Day. You think Race Day be once a year. Rough around the same. But I hit another Race Day, on another big-ish Holiday!?!?

Can you give a schedule of these Race Day?? So I plan a trip with out another Race Day involved!
