I think if Boston ever actually won a pennant, the entire city would fold in on itself and collapse...with 'THE CURSE' broken, what would they do with themselves?

Honestly, I'm a college student in Boston, and I shutter to think. Those kids throw riots when their team doesn't even win, I would HATE to see the state of the city when they do win.

our entire family is going to a game at the end of july for flaherty fan club day. we really have a good time because everyone is pretty much local, so the whole family is there.

What a game! I'm still on a Yankee high, couldn't get to sleep last night. I was on Yankees forums until almost 3:00 a.m as I was SO pumped up.

I did come over here to the CB last night but I didn't want to post over in the Red Sox thread.

Derek Jeter is the man He's actually playing in tonight's game against the Mets. You gotta love him.

And now all the new Yanks: A-Rod, Sheffield, Lieber, Vazquez, Cairo can see what Yanks/Red Sox is like. Lieber was quoted as saying that he thought he knew a rivalry in Cubs/Cardinals but it was NOTHING like this. And in a regular season game!

Big time props to the whole team but in particular to Jeter, Halsey (way to go, kid!), Cairo and Flaherty.
