How big were your babies?

dd (now 8) 8 lbs 3 ounces born at 10:55 a.m.

dd (now 5) 7 lbs, 12 ounces born at 10:54 a.m. (Why couldn't she wait just one more minute?.....)

1= 9lbs. 1oz.
2= 9lbs. 1oz. (That was odd that they weighed exactly the same)
3= 6lbs. 9oz.

15 yo DS was 7lbs 14 oz and was 20 1/2" long
13 yo DD was 9 lbs 4 oz and was 21" long
11 yo DS was 10 lbs 4 oz and 21 1/2" long
8 yo DS was 10 lbs 14 oz and 21 1/2" long
6 yo DD was 7 lbs 8 oz and 22 1/2" long

All were on time except for 6 yo who was 2 weeks early and she is by far my tallest and heaviest at this age compared to all of the rest!

Sam- 9# 2.5 oz., 21" long. 4 days late

Josh- 11# 2.5 oz, 21" long 3 days early. :earseek:

Both were born vag, no gestational diabetes. I am 5'9" and "big-boned." DH and Dear Dad joke that if I have a 3rd s/he will be 13# 2.5 oz., just to go along with my pattern. And s/he will have to be born on the 28th of the month, cause both boys were born on the 28th (different months tho).

BTW- both are in the normal range for their height and weight....although Josh has a HUGE head- 100% and he's almost 3 now. Just call him egghead. ;)

Josh was 9lbs 13oz--and he needed every bit of it because he was sick from the beginning. But, he was one of the few babies in the NICU that the nurses could hold and play with! Most of the other babies were SO tiny and fragile. Then there was The Pooh!!

9, 3 and 9, 4 both tall thin adults now.

All babies in my family seem be born heavy. When I was growing up I thought anything under 8 pounds was abnormal.

ds 7 pounds 9 oz

dd 7 pounds 4 oz

DD# 1 - 6 lbs 14 oz
DD#2 - 7 lbs 4 oz

All these big babies posted has me cringing! I would love to hear some updates on all the tiny babies.

Oh, and to the poster who stated that she didn't even scream, I thought screaming was allowed!?! :o :confused:

My oldest was 8 lbs 2 oz, and the "little guy" was 9 lbs 6 oz. Everyone we know was shocked that I had such big babies, because I wasn't hugely pregnant with either one, and I am a very small, petite person. They were both very healthy! I laugh now when I look at #2's newborn pictures- he was soo big, yet so little at the same time!

Ann:earsgirl:
