I've seen a few remarks concerning the bus transportation at Boardwalk being very slow. Is it that bad? Should we think about a rental car? We are going during a very busy time which concerns me. Anyone with any info?

I've been staying at the boardwalk for many years now at many different times of years and i can say I really don't find it absolutely awful.. Really you don't get on it for 2 of the parks and I'd never drive to MK as it takes so long to get in from the parking lot. So, if you did rent a car I'd only suggest driving to AK.....

I never felt that the bus service on property is that bad. Its free, handles alot of people and runs to a good schedule, about every 20 minutes. I think what most people a bothered with, is there attention span is short, they are in a big hurry, afraid somethings going to disappear if they have to wait alittle. We never rent a car, use solely Disney transportation, most always have a seat and get to where we're going in an A/C'ed bus. We've stayed at quite a few resorts, some are better and some are crowded, seems to depend on the resort, time of year and day that you're there but a bus is always going to come by. We're on vacation, and not having to drive and park is part of the reason we prefer a WDW vacation.

It all depends as to where you are going and the time of Day and how much of a rush you are in :rotfl:
Down Town Disney the service is bad
Off peak the park Buses stop at a LOT of other Hotels -you can get off at the Swan Dolphin to save time on the was back.
Peak times -Morning and night the bus service is fine
there are plenty of altrenatives if that 5-10 minutes will make a difference
or you can just relax you are on vacation :beach:

It doesn't sound much different than what we've experienced while staying at CBR - which makes a lot of stops within the resort. If we're just talking a 20 minute a/c'd ride, we'll be fine with that!!
