How bad is Christmas time????????

Like I said earlier, we were there last year the same dates Plan Man will be going, 12/27-1/4. However, even though we were there for a few days after New Year's (our flight left at night on the 4th), the crowds weren't all that much better than they were before NYE and I don't think it will be that much different this year I'm assuming this was because last year NYD was a Wednesday and so a lot of people didn't have to go back to work/school until Monday, or decided to just take Thursday and Friday off anyway so that they'd get an extra few days of vacation. This year since 1/1 is a Thursday I'm guessing even mre people will stay through the weekend. The parks were still open until 11pm/midnight on 1/1 and 1/2 and until 10ish on 1/3 and1/4. It was a little better than the days before NYE, but we still really needed to get there for EE, take an afternoon break, and go back out at night. NYD was the best, probably because people stayed up so late on NYE and did't get to the parks until later in the day because we went to Epcot on NYD (it was the EE park but we didn't get there till around 9:30) and it was pretty empty till around 2 or 3pm. Despite the crowds though, as I previously said, we did have a great time and will definitely go back this time in the future. There was just such a great holiday spirit (we didn't encounter any rude people we've heard about during the holidays) and so many things to do/see that aren't available other times of the year.

I forgot to mention the weather when we were there. Until 12/31 it was very cold, we needed to wear heavy clothes during the day (sweaters, turtlenecks, jeans, etc.) and at night it was practically freezing. We needed our gloves, hats, winter coats, and during Fantasmic we needed some blankets too. On 1/1. however, it got lots warmer and we could wear shorts during the day, but still needed pants and sweatshirts at night. We saw plenty of people using the pools at both resorts we stayed at, but for us it was a little too chilly, at least during the first part of the trip. Really though, the crowds do help warm you up a little since there's always bound to be people around creating heat.
