Tammy, DD, DS and myself were at a movie Fri. night, Spiderman 2 to be specific.

Tammy made the comment how clean the theater smelled and how familiar the smell was. We put 2 and 2 together and figured out it smelled like the waiting area inside Spalsh Mt.

It was funny cause we tend to find things that remind us of WDW.

Does this kind of stuff happen to yall?

Yes it does. In fact, I sometimes go to the Disney Store just to get the "theme park building smell". Don't know what it is exactly, but it's a distinctly WDW smell. The resorts also smell like this.

::yes:: All the time. When I notice certain smells, see airplanes and buses, feel the weather on certain days, come across beautiful landscaping. . .

Oh yes, this happens to us a lot too! :) Today we were at the Smithsonian American History museum in Washington, D.C., and we were walking through an area that was set up like an old frontier town. There was music in the background too. My dh looked at me and said, "this is like being in Frontierland in WDW!" :teeth:

Happens to us all the time...I like to do things that reminds us of vacation too..like go to Denny's for breakfast, which we did today...:sunny:

My bank here uses some of the same cleaning products I guess as our hotel, it smells like our hotel each time I go in there. I try and NOT go through the drive thru so I can smell that smell...:sunny:

Friend had a barbecue a few weekends ago and used Mesquite to cook with and all I could think of was it smelled like Spaceship Earth...

Any little thing sets me off..even the smell of certian sun lotions reminds me of WDW...I am very hopelessly addicted...:sunny:

Blueberry, that is too funny.

Glad to see we arent the only ones. Seems like the smallest things are what really gets to most of us.

Blueberry I think the smell of cash changing hands at the bank might also remind you of WDW;)

Just today I stepped outside and it is gorgeous(we're having a mild weekend). I thought--this seems like Central Fla in November:earsboy:

yep, I'm so obsessesed with Tower of Terror that I like to look at things and say, "Oh that doesn't look like it would belong in the ToT" or "Oh, that looks EXACTLY like it would belong in the ToT.." I am just too obsessed.

I find going to Rainforest Cafe helps a little when I'm missing WDW and I'm not sure why, since I've NEVER eaten at the one at WDW!! I guess it's just the theming.

I said a lady on a TV commercial just the other day reminded me of the lady that is on the Test Track video......you know the lady that gets to pick another test!!!:D

I'm always saying how certain smells remind me of Disney, too. Drives the family nuts!

I thought I was the only one who thought it had a smell. But just the other day, my guy friend from work said....did you notice, when I cut him off and finished the sentence. We both were thinking the music playing was the music when you go into MK. So wonderful. WEIRD!

I get my fix from those Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches you can buy in the grocery. Those are all over WDW. The musty, damp smell of my parents cellar (in a 100 y/o farmhouse) reminds me of the preshow tunnels into pirates. There all other things too - I'll post as I think of them.

There isn't a day that goes by that SOMETHING doesn't remind me of Disney . . . I must drive my co-workers CRAZY!!! BTW, everyday when I leave I say, "Have a MAGICAL day"! Everyone laughs!!!

 NOT ME!

Just today we were walking through a hotel lobby, and I thought it smelled like a hotel at WDW. Never had the feeling before.

We too love to eat at Rainforest Cafe. Brings back all those memories.

Whenever I'm having a particularly good day, or the "happy to be alive" feeling, I almost immediately start singing the Carousel of Progress song in my head.

They built a really fancy strip mall near me, and the first time I went to it I said to the person I was with that I wondered if Disney was branching out into strip malls...he asked me why and I said because they hid all these little speakers in the flower beds and were piping in distinctly "Disney" music (not actual Disney songs, but you know, the kind of stuff you hear at MGM, etc). Every time I go there, I think of Disney.:p

When I get on the turnpike and see the "E" Z pass lane...the 'paperless airline tickets (E Tickets) at the eye doctors the eye chart;) everytime I see an E I remember "E Tickets" Anyone else around for E tickets? I guess I'm dating myself now but I still have some E tickets from the early days od Disney. I loved the E ticket attractions:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: There must be a connection from that to E nights. Oh no, I'm rambling but so many things remind me of E tickets and they bring a rush of Disney to me:earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Whenever we go into Bill Wong's, the chinese buffet on International Dr, we always make comments how it smells like the inside of a Howard Johnson's.

I never really know what a "theme park" or "resort smell" is though...:confused3
