Hi there,

Ive been twice during September and many times during November and the beginning of December. Next year we want to plan a 2 week trip the last two weeks of July. How bad are the crowds??

Thanks for any advise.

We were there last year July 15-26. I didn't think it was TOO bad. The only really, really crowded time that I felt was unbearable was a Monday in the MK. We went early, took swim/nap breaks, and returned in the evening. We like it so much that time of year that we'll be going in July this year also.

We were not there at the end of July but the beginning was very crowded. I think summer is just crowded period. What I mean by crowded is line waites 55 min or longer on popular rides and Fast pass sold out by mid day. This happend for Test track and mission space for us.

I've been at the beginning of July and in mid-July. Around July 4th is extremely crowded. Mid-July is not bad crowd-wise, but be prepared for that heat. We went early morning, took an afternoon break, then returned to the parks in the evening. That's the only way to deal with the heat, IMO. Also use Fastpass as much as possible, and alternate between indoor and outdoor attractions. In mid-July, the longest wait we had was for the Great Movie Ride during a rainstorm because everyone headed for cover right after the parade. Other than that the waits were 15 minutes tops.

We went this year July31-Aug7 and thought it was pretty crowded, but we usually go in Sept. or Oct. so we weren't really used to the heat and such. I invested in some customized touring plans from touringplans.com and also tourguidemike.com and found they helped a lot.

I've visited a few times during the last two weeks of July and while the crowds are larger than the other time periods you have visited the parks are also open later. I like it when there is a lot going on at the parks. Wait times can be long compared to off season but FP has solved a lot of that. We go early rest/swim in the afternoons and then go late. This avoids the midday crush and works for us.

If you are use to Sept or Nov, it will seem alot more crowded. We use to go in May when our Children were in grade school, but now we can only go the last week of July(between summmer baseball and fall baseball). It's not bad, go to the parks early and make PS for evening meals, and you'll still enjoy it

Thanks everyone,

Heat - That's why I love November. The weather is great (although sometimes too cold). Thank goodness WDW has so many indoor attractions and a lot indoor wait areas, unlike a normal amusement park that is almost all outdoors. We do sit down lunches and dinners most days, so a nice sit down lunch when the heat is getting to us will feel nice.

Crowds- Thanks for the heads up. Sounds mixed. I guess its good we are not going around the 4th of July. We do have 2 weeks so we can go a bit slower and not feel rushed to do everything in one or two days.

Thanks for everyone's replies!!

We've been there in January, May, July, September, and December. All months but July were low- to moderate-crowd levels. In July, it was way too crowded for us. Between the heat and the long waits I will never (if I can help it) go again during an ultra-busy and hot season like July. In fact, if July were my only exposure to WDW I do not think I would be nearly as addicted to these vacations as I am.

I am spoiled by the slower months!
