Just curious, but for those of you at the parks right now, is it crazy or not too crowded? :confused3

Suprisingly busy considered that i was doing the popcorn cart by Soaring over California. It was busy busy busy! Soaring had a like 40 min wait time. Our guides tell us ToT, Mullholland Fastpasses will be diasbled, but i passed there many times and the fastpasses were up!

yesterday was pretty bad for me, i just might sue Disney for hostile environment  i feel insanely sick atm.

I was going to catch up with my sister and take the kids but she called me about 20 minutes ago to say don't bother. They spent about an hour getting from the parking structure through security in the main plaza. Way too busy right now and its not worth it. Saves me a trip up there!

I wonder if the park will clear out some when the Super Bowl starts.:confused3

Just think about it like this... DTD + Disneyland = split families...

DTD = Sports fans at ESPN Zone.

Disney = mothers with their kids.

Judging by the college Football Champions, a lot of fathers sacrifice the game just to be with their kids. But it might just also backfires on you since you think there wont be a lot of people there. Many people will think that. Ill let you know tonight after work :)

Phew! I almost drove down to the park to do some shopping and eat my dole whip float that I've been craving for all eternity! :rotfl: It would have been a 1-2 hr. drive for me (depending on traffic). I'm glad I decided not to go. I probably would've been miserable! :sad2: <sigh> I guess I should add Superbowl Sunday to my list of when not to hit the parks.

Albort: was the crowd insane when the park opened this morning or did it not get busy until the afternoon?

That sucks. Sorry you had a hard time. It seems like the more crowded it is the more likely both guests and CM's become cranky. It's just a mood killer for both parties. :sad1:

crowding wasnt the problem, but having a cart across from the smoking area isnt too good for your lungs for 6 hours isnt too good for you. Damn Second hand smoke. my throat is really killing me.

Im just so shocked yesterday to find strollers in/around the smoking area with the kids in them! I am so shocked and angry at the same time.

Morning was pretty okay. Around 2-3 PM, it started to pick up like crazy. I dont think they expect the crowds at all.

I thought there was a no smoking policy in DL? :confused3 I would've been upset too. I'm not a fan of cigarettes or breathing in 2nd hand smoke. :P

THeres a few places that you can smoke. THeres one underneath the monorail in Fantasyland, theres one by the rivers of america, right by tom sawyer island raft launch area, also one on the way from frontierland --> fantasyland route.

at DCA, i know theres one right by the soaring over california's bathroom. right across is a Popcorn cart.

i been coughin pretty bad, not used to soo much smoke.

EDIT: Btw, the more guest, the more of my idiotic side shows. the whole reason im still working at disneyland is because of guest. I love those guest who shows their appreciation toward us CMs. Sometimes, i feel really sick and not wanting to go to work, but when i am at work, i have a very fun time and come home happy and full of life.

Maybe it's because I'm used to WDW but I didn't think it was bad at all today. Space Mountain was around 20 minutes, so was California Screamin'. We're about to go back in a bit, the hotel's boiler broke this morning so we went without showers! I hope it hasn't picked up too bad!

We are coming on Thursday and can not wait. Hope the rain will not come as the forcast says! We will have to stop by your cart for a treat of popcorn!

lol, i dont work Thursday, and we switch to different carts, different parks.

Anyhow, even with the superbowl, it was freakin crowded. It was am quite suprised. never seen DCA this populated ever. 2fer must be working wonders for Disney.

Albort -wish would have known you were there would have said hello yesterday. Funny we walked by that area and there were no smokers in it and DH mentioned how you could smell it even without the fresh smoke wofting out. I was thinking about the poor cast members who have to clean it, wondering they opt out of that duty.

As for the crowds, DL was more crowded on Super bowl Sunday than on Saturday. We found the lines to Pirates winding outside the normal queuing area with several switch backs. BTMRR said 35 minute wait, where the rest of the week it had been 10 minutes. (Never trust those signs because CM can get that attraction boarding quickly and never seems like a long line).

Left DL at 1pm to rest and headed to DCA at 4:30pm. Crowds were heavy moving from DL to DCA for the block party. Soaring was 50 minutes and TofT was 35 minute wait. When we did fast pass at Soaring at 7:30, the fast pass line was back up and it took 15 minutes to get inside the building with fass passes, so we bailed and gave away our tickets.

We just enjoyed the people watching.

We just got back yesterday from 4 days Thursday-Sunday.
Thursday was perfect, walk on for just about everything.
Friday was still ok. Picked up at night.
Saturday was busier but with fastpass ok.
Sunday was packed. Waited soooo long for a Dole whip. Yummy though.

We must have been staying at the same hotel! They did give us a good discount when we checked out. We called it the cold water discount!

The crowds weren't bad at all. We were in both parks. 40 minute wait for River Rapids (in over 80 degree heat, that seemed great). 30 minute wait for Screamin. 30 minute wait for Space Mountain. Even Matterhorn & Autopia had only about a 30 minute wait.

I'm a bit spoiled as we normally go to DL when there are few crowds. To me, if the wait is over 40 minutes, the park is crowded. We were already at DL for a Martial Arts Competition, so we went to the parks for a day and really enjoyed ourselves.
