How bad are Columbus Day Crowds?

We were there last Columbus Day. I did think it was pretty crowded but not unmanageable. You just have to know how to use your fast pass options and get to the parks early. The weather was perfect!

I am trying to figure out whats best.

10/11-10/16 at WL
10/7- 10/12 at FQ

I really want WL however I am going to be getting a good chunk of the Columbus Day Crowds.

We were there on Columbus Day in 2012 and will be there this year. It didn't make a bit of difference from that weekend to the next on our 10 day trip. Schools in our area don't even close for it. The only difference? Hotel room pricing by about $20/night.

We were at WDW last Columbus Day weekend (Thursday to Sunday night). It was crowded, but very manageable. We’ve been to Disney on other holiday weekends, and it was nowhere near as crowded as it was on Memorial Day Weekend.

As long as you avoid Epcot on the weekends, especially at night, (with the Food & Wine Festival going on), you should be fine.
