Just wondering how other families are handling the Olympics. With my kids, it is pretty funny--both their step-mom and I are "forcing" (not really--they can go to another room and watch something else, but on the big TV, and with me, we're watching the Olympics!) them to watch, and they complain bitterly about it beforehand, but really get excited when the athletes perform. When they complained last night, I told them it was exciting and historic, and important to watch. They groaned and told me, "You sound just like 'Jane' (step-mom)!" I had to call her and share it with her, we got a good laugh over it (yes, we're one of those weird blended families that gets along well).
Are other kids complaining, too? Do they enjoy watching despite themselves?
