How are you all getting such great airfares?

I have been scouring all of the airlines websites hoping for something like the $75 roundtrip rates I have seen from Hartford, but can't find anything similar. I know that St. Louis is probably further from Orlando, but I sure would like to get a great rate. Any ideas?

what are your travel dates?
if you don't find anyting on the airlines websights then try other ones too. like expedia and travel zoo and bargain fares, airfares etc. go to google.com or dogpile.com and then do a search for discounted air travel or bargain fares, cheap fares, low fares etc. you will come up with so many internet sights that give great fares it is unbelievable. I am also in the travel industry so I get all kinds of stuff on a daily basis so I am up to date on it. some tiems its hit or miss when they offer the low fares.

Just out of curiosity, I checked flights on sidestep.com and found STL to MCO on Delta for $126.25 RT....thats not too bad.
Also Frost5000, I found Airtran PHL to MCO for $155. RT. I used Oct. 2 though 9...just dates that I thought up.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys!!

Mom+4, you have to check all the airlines websites... sometimes they offer fares that are significantly discounted as long as you go through their website.... The only website that I've seen that displays those rates all at once is www.orbitz.com If you find the fare at orbitz, go to the airlines own website to book... don't book through an agency if you can help it.... Also, don't forget to check all the different airports in your region, and even check flights into Tampa as well as Orlando.... Good luck, sometimes you just have to wait it out!

Mom+4, speaking of Orbitz I was checking flights this past Sunday night and from Providence, RI to Orlando Continental was offering a $160 rt for Feb 2002. When I went back in Monday night, the fare had gone up to $199 RT.

So, I think that fares are cheaper certain times of the week than others when searching on the Internet.
