How are the Moderates at Christmas???

Just curious. I have seen all the posts on WL and GF and was wondering how the christmas decorations were at POR and POFQ?? What are your experiences with AKL??? I LOVED AKL our last trip.

DH wants to stay at WL, but I go back and forth. I saw it and it is a beautiful resort even without the decorations, but I grew up on a lake in the mountains about 20 minutes below Yosemite National Park in the gorgeous sierras. I had some awesome Christmas' there. I was maybe thinking of something different.

I stayed at Riverside this past Christmas time and it was cool. There is a huge tree in an area where I assume a fountain normally is all decorated. You see this when you first walk in. There are also decorated wreath swag type things in the registration area. And wreaths around the wall lights when you head to the food area.

CBR is decorated in a Caribbean theme. Very festive and colorful.

I have stayed at POFQ at Christmas. It was cool. Still Mardi Gras, but not " in your face" decorations. The Mardi Gras masks were a bit Christmassy, there was a huge tree in the lobby with some very different decorations and of course all of the walkways were decked with green and glittery stuff.

One morning, after breakfast, we were in the lobby, heading out to the busses and they had a chior in there singing Christmas songs. Their voices were so beautiful I cried. Any Christmas song about Jesus makes me cry, but to hear these 15 - 20 year-olds sing "O' Holy Night" with these powereful voices, harmonizing with one another, while visiting the most magical place on earth.....it was just a wonderful and breathtaking experience that morning. Even as I tell you about it, I am getting chills and almost tears in my eyes.

I am certain that wherever you visit for Christmas, it will be wonderful and full of beauty.
