I was at MK this past Saturday, 45th anniversary day with a midnight closing, with 2 parades scheduled. Significant rain started right around 6 and persisted until just before 10, which cleared out a lot of the crowds. The 9:00 parade was cancelled due to rain and lightning in the area. We grabbed a spot on the curb just as you enter the hub at about 9:15 and sat in the rain through 2 Celebrate the Magics and Wishes and thankfully the rain stopped early enough for the 11:00 parade to go as scheduled. I think had we not had such steady rain for nearly 4 hours it would have been a lot more crowded and no way would we have gotten the good viewing spot we ended up with. With all of the Halloween party nights, there's really only about 3 nights a week for the MSEP to run (it does not run during the party), so for its final week I would expect fairly large crowds and plan on seeking a good spot earlier than you may have needed to in the past.
