How are the credits issued?

We are traveling to Poly in June/July for a concierge stay. I don't think our two boys, DS16 and DS13, will be satisfied with the breakfast options and I don't know that we will be back there for lunch every day. (Besides, this food isn't supposed to take the place of a meal is it?)

So... if our boys go off on their own, are their meal credits on their individual KTTW card? And, also, if we are together, do I need to have everyone's card to exchange the credits for our meals?

In case it matters, our tickets won't be on the KTTW because we have APs.

The party's cards are all encoded on all kttk cards for the room.

You can use one card to 'pay' for everyone's meal or snacks, or any individual can use his/her own card to 'pay' for a meal or snack without anyone else being around.

Your boys can take their cards down to Captain Cook's and 'buy' breakfast for themselves, for example.

Many times when travelling with friends and/or children we will use someone else's card to 'pay' for food since mine always has room charge on it, in an effort to eliminate the chance of being charged actual money for the meal instead of credits.
