How are the chef's @ Tepanyaki?

How entertaining have the chef's at the Tepanyaki (Japanese hibachi style grill) been in the recent past, and any changes I can expect when it opens in November as the Teppon Edo?

Do these guys just flip and bang or do they also entertain with funny moves, jokes and such?

How would you rate the epcot Tepanyaki experience to the Benihana in Orlando?

1) As anywhere, teppanyaki chefs are all different
. . . some are lively, some are dull
. . . some are jokersters, some some are business-like
. . . some are knife pros, some just cut-and-peal
2) All depends upon luck-of-the-draw.

This past visit before they closed for renovations we had a woman chef and she was wonderful....there were little ones at our table and she engaged them with her antics... I have always had great chefs when we go....

i have to agree with what was said above. we had an ok chef, but the table next to us had a chef that was absolutely hilarious! he was doing all these tricks with them and games too. our chef didn't do any of that, basically just came to the table, did his thing and left.

Can you request a certain chef?

Which ones would you guys recommend beside the lady chef?

I don't know if you can request a specific chef or not. But think about it. No matter what time your ADR was you would have to wait for that table to finish their meal before you could get seated. You could be lucky and it might be right away, or you could be unlucky in that a table had just be seated and you had to wait on hour or more.
