Next year we may not be able to come in December (first week or two) like we normally do but I still want to come.
How is it in October or November? I am not sure really when we would come as far as beginning, middle or end of either one.
I am afraid I will be dissapointed because it isn't decorated up for Christmas that it will be kinda plain. Anyone experienced that?
How are the crowds?
Thanks guys!

We usually go in October or November and we love it! The weather is great and crowds are fairly light. We prefer late Oct. or early Nov. as far as crowds go.

We've never been disappointed or thought that WDW looked kinda plain - and we've been during Christmas too. It's just a different season. In Decemeber we want to celebrate Christmas, but in October we love to celebrate Halloween and go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's just a different time of year to celebrate.:goodvibes

Thanks for your response. I will have to see how things go. Is Halloween real busy?

We go every Thanksgiving, and it is an absolute blast. Most of the Christmas decorations are already up, the weather is great, crowds are a bit much but we don't mind that.

I highly recommend any time in November, late October is great as well! Never been to the Fort in early October, so can't comment on that one much.

We sometimes go the first week or two in October which is one of our favorite times to go. We do MNSSHP and never miss Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. :thumbsup2 Also, a lot of the campsites are decked out in Halloween decorations. It's fun to rent a cart and tour the loops.

Yep, we never miss the Food and Wine festival either, it ranks way up there with one of my favorite things in all of Disney. We always go the last weekend, which is normally always the second weekend of November. Not only is the festival going on, but you have the Folk Art Festival in Downtown Disney, and Super Soap Weekend is going on at MGM. Not that I care about Super Soap Weekend, but if you happen to go to MGM, it's kind of funny to watch all the people standing in line for the Soap Opera "stars"...lol.

Thanks guys! Maybe early-mid November will be good if we can't do December.

How is the Food & Wine Festival?

Wow, lots of stuff going on. I think dh would not be happy if I took him there during Super Soap Weekend. I would love to do it.

Crowds are busy per se, but it's not unbearable. It's much more crowded a couple weeks later during Thanksgiving. If I was rating it on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it around a 7 or at worst an 8. Not empty, but it's not slam packed either. Average waits for rides, maybe a bit above average at Epcot.

Epcot on the Saturday of that weekend is almost dead during the morning hours but by the afternoon it gets pretty packed. MGM is busy, but you're getting a lot of the soap people, and there really aren't long lines for most of the rides. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are just average on crowds, Epcot and MGM take most of the crowds that weekend.

Thanks! Glad to know there are some not to bad options if we can't go in December.
