I was wondering if anyone could tell me how February crowds are, especially President's Day week? I am thinking of going for five days (short for me) and taking some family members with us (up to 8). I was wondering how bad the crowds are at this time and if anyone had any advice to offer. Thanks.

We went the second week of Feb. this year. We thought is was great. Some others posted that is was busy, but we didn't think it was too bad. Pres. Day has gotten extremely busy. I think it ranks up there with easter and Christmas. I would probably try to avoid it unless thats the only time that you can go. The weather will be iffy. We had great weather and were even able to swim a couple of days.

President's Day itself is crazy. Remind me of July 4th. The acutal holiday is crazy, but afterward it slows down a bit.

I'm so glad to hear you say the weather was nice. We were there Sat to Thurs of President's week this year and it was beautiful. Low 80's and sunny. From Thursday on it got kind of nasty, rainy and cold, and so many people are whining that the weather was terrible for President's week. How quickly a couple of rainy cold days can make you forget four or five very warm sunny ones! Afterall, the average high for that time of year is only 73.

Check the date on the Daytona 500...If it falls the same weekend, expect some excess crowds.

We were there this year Sun thru Fri of President's Day week. I thought that MK would be busy on that Monday so we went to Epcot and the crowds were managable. Going first thing in the morning that week to any park was wonderful to say the least. No crowds at all! That is until 12pm. Then you could see that it picked up. All in all I thought that it was a breeze compared to going in the summer months. I would go back that week again cause of crowds and weather. We had 80 degress each day til Friday when it rained all day!

We went down on the Saturday at the end of Presidents Week, and found it horribly crowded. Trying to rent a car at the airport was awful, I have never seen it that bad, even at Easter and Christmas! I waited for 45 minutes for a car at the garage, then they finally just gave us all upgrades to an SUV because we were getting short-tempered. The weather got cold on our week, 60's, but it was sunny. :cold: :sunny:

This year we were there from the Wed. before Pres. week (last day of value season) til the friday of Pres. Week. The Daytona 500 was happening during this weekend to make it busier. I don't have enough WDW expierence to make too much comment on the crowds. We did MK at the beginning and end of our trip to avoid the weekend. Also arrived at the parks at opening for the most part. Since our girls wake a 7am no matter what it isn't too hard for us! The Thurs & Fri (morning for us) before Pres. Day was great in the MK! All in all it wasn't bad. We didn't go to the parks on Sun. Mon. seemed crowded at MGM but we went late - we also had the fantastmic dinner package so we avoided any negative affects of the crowds.
