How are crowds in middle to late May.

We just got back from Disneyland and are planning our next trip. We were WDW fans until we visited DL. We are thinking about May but do not want terrible crowds. Halloween time was crowded enough for us.

My family has visited at that time, and the crowds were always quite reasonable.

That being said, we normally go at the end of September as well, expecting tiny crowds, and were blown away by how busy the parks were when we were there Sept 22-Oct 6 this year.

Long story short, not sure there is a quiet time at DL anymore.

Not too bad. We went last week of may starting on Memorial Day 2012 and it wasn't dead by any means we were able to get everything done without a problem. DCA felt busier because of the construction so hopefully that won't be the case anymore. Mornings were not bad and then as the day went on it got more crowded. On Grad nights the evenings were very crowded. But for most of the day it isn't bad at all IMO.

We went May 12-19 back in 2006, and it remains the best trip out of our many trips to DL. It was after spring break, before summer break, the weather was fantastic, the crowds were low. We have so many photographs from that trip where it is just my girls in the photo, not crowds behind them.

We were there for mother's day in 2012 and also last week for Halloween. I would say that May was lighter than this past week. It was cooler than this past trip! Nice weather, low crowds, not horrid lines. It was pre Carsland opening though too. We will be back a little later this May and I'm looking forward to it quite a bit!

We were there memorial day weekend this year and it was VERY crowded. We went mid October on a weekend in 2010 and it was pretty crowded, but not as crowded as Memorial Day. Both were probably still too packed for my taste, . I prefer weekdays.
