How are crowds and weather in Oct?

We are going to WDW for the 1st time in Oct(the 1st week). What are the crowds and weather like then?

We were there last year (2002) from 9/27-10/06 and we found the first week of October to be very warm (only 5 min of rain one afternoon) as far as the crowds, we saw an increase around the 3rd of October compared to the beginning of our trip. One of the CM's said there was some type of golf thing and on the 4th most of the resorts were booked. Sat the 5th was very packed at the Magic Kingdom compared to the previous Saturday. I thought the weather was near perfect (if you don't mind a little bit of heat). Hope this helps.

AWESOME! I've gone 3x in Oct and absolutely loved it. We would go every year during Oct, but our school system implemented a "penalty" system for unexcused absentence.

I love Oct! We were there in 2000 and the weather was perfect, 80 and sunny every day. We were there for nine days and did not have a single drop of rain.

The crowds were heavier on the weekends, but light and manageable during the week. Oct is a perfect time to go.

What a bummer, we get a 2 week fall break!! Can't wait!

We went the first week of Oct a few years ago and it rained a lot! Downpour rain. The weather in Florida is VERY unpredictable. The parks are still manageable though.
