How are Crocs supposed to fit?

I just ordered a pair of Crocs because everyone here seems to be so fond of them - but Im not sure I got the right size! I ordered a 6-7, because on Zappos they recommend going down one size and I usually buy an 8. I got them today and they feel comfy but my toe just touches the end a bit. Is that about right? Do they "give" at all as they get worn in? I was afraid to go with the next larger size beacuse the width of these is still pretty loose. Any advice? I was surprised at how light they were, and the little holes give plenty of air conditioning... (btw, DH says Im crazy and will have a blister in no time wearing them...)

Keep the ones that you got. The croc shoes are not half sizes so you cant get the most PERFECT fit. Once you start wearing them more, they kind of mold to your feat.

I wear a 6 1/2 M. The small Beach version which is a woman's 6-7, fits me perfectly.

In other words the fit should be “loose”.

I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under.

To insure that the strap is not pulling your foot into the front of the shoe, rotate the strap forward and determine if your foot rests comfortably in the foot bed and there is room all around your foot. If so, you have the proper size but the strap is too short. To alleviate this issue, work your fingers around the strap and stretch it as you go around being careful not to put excessive pressure on the rivet hole. Stretch the strap until it is just short of the back edge of the shoe. The resin material has memory and will stay at the proper length after one or two of these types of adjustments."

Robindianne thank you! That is exactly the situation - with the strap forward they dont touch anywhere, but with the strap on my heel the toe just touches! I will make the strap adjustment per the directions you posted.

I had to do that with my strap too. But, I don't know how truly important that exact perfect fit is. The first pair of Crocs I bought several years ago when I lived in Hawaii. They are the old Beach ones but the grommet things are 3D and they were spendier than now (but that could be due to being in HI). So, I got XM cause they seemed like the right fit. I wore them for years as "jogging shoes" and my feet didn't sweat and I was right comfy, could jog in the ocean (ankle deep for air conditioning effect ) and then on the street and I got no blisters or rubbing even as the salty water dried on my feet. I just bought a second pair so I could have new traction on the bottom (wore the old ones right out) and got Small cause according to the croc site that's what fits properly. They do feel more like I'm wearing nothing at all (but have good arch support), but I though my old ones were fine. Who knows?

Anyway, good luck. I just love wearing them, ugly and all. I have an odd dark blue (not exactly navy) and forest green. Now I want red. Not that I'm greedy

What a croc! Sorry. Getting silly. It's a soft shoe. Not rubber or plastic but kind of foamy. If you go to croc.com (or is it crocs.com) you will see them. Like wearing pillows.

All right, I'm a Crocs virgin and I know that I am safe here. Do you wear Crocs with socks? I'm thinking no, they are more like sandals and should be worn with naked feet, but I just don't know.

They look better without socks, but some people get some pretty bad blisters from wearing them w/o socks. I guess it depends on your foot!

I never wore them with socks until I moved to the pacific NW. It's cold here so I have to . Now I do socks or those peds type bootie socks except in the summer. I have short fat feet and I have had them rub on the top edge toward my instep. If you pull it out very gently and hold it for a minute, where you feel any rubbing (if you do feel it), then you can stretch it a bit so it fits differently. I just needed like a tiny (1/16 inch) stretch. Otherwise, socks, yes.

I unapologetically wear mine with socks. I look like a clown-footed dork and don't care. I also have a high instep (is that what it's called?) and the top of my foot rubs against the top of the shoe and drives me nuts. Socks cure that problem.

Had to chuckle cuz I never heard of a "croc" before visiting these boards ! I get the no half-size thing, but what about width? I've got wide feet (helps me keep my balance, I guess). Thanks for all the info.

I have wide feet too. Beach model is the widest and so far the only pairs I have owned are Crocs Beach.

When I got my first Crocs my big toe was touching so I put them in the dryer for just a few minutes! Literally like two minutes until the were warm and I wore them. As they cooled they molded right to my feet and fit perfect now. I wore them a few days late while at Disney and not a single blister or even a sore spot.

The funny thing is I kicked a doorstop the night before we left. It hurt but I was busy and excited so I basically ignored it. When we returned from Disney a few days later and starting wearing "normal" shoes I realized the my one toe really hurt. Here I had broken it before the trip! Wearing the Crocs it never bothered me!
