We are in Tyrone, GA (between Atlanta and Newnan) and bought at SSR in 2004. We have really enjoyed SSR, but are making the rounds. Looking forward to OKW in August for Star Wars Celebration V and AKV in December for an early holiday celebration!

Albany (Al-benny), here. DH & I members since 2005. Five hours too long from the World! Just back from our 35 wedding anniversary trip this past Memorial Day weekend! We Disneymooned at the Poly a long, long time ago!

We're in Augusta - a short 6.5/7 hours from the happiest place on earth. We have also grown accustomed to the looks from friends who say "you're going again" -- makes it so much easier knowing we now have DVC!

We are looking forward to our first trip home in November!

I grew up in Douglasville. Hubby and I lived there the first 10 years of our marriage. We have lived in Villa Rica for the past 4 years.

We own at SSR (still our favorite) and take 2-3 trips per year. Our next is in July! Can't wait!!!!!

It's great to see there are other DVC Members living in our area. I'd love to hear the pros and cons you see with being members. Also, do you get an AP? Disney Dining or TIW?

I just posted a thread in DVC-Mousecellaneous, but I wanted to also post here -- just in case you don't see it there.

We’re new to the club and we’ve only had a few opportunities to stay at resort properties on Disney so far, but we’ve already had one ‘less than satisfactory’ experience. I’d go as far to say ‘way’ less than satisfactory based on the condition of the room. Somewhat run down, shaggy edges on carpet, tile fallen off in the bathroom, rusted refrigerator, etc.

Is this going to be the norm when we stay at resorts that are not brand new? And should I be ok with this state of disrepair of the DVC resorts as they age? My initial thought is… no… I’m not satisfied at all if this is what I have to look forward to from Kidani in 10 years.

We are DVC members living in Marietta - the West Cobb area. We joined DVC last year, but should've joined a long time ago. We are just back from 13 nights at the world - our longest trip ever, but are planning an even longer one next year. We own at BCV, VWL and OKW.
