How about another Thanksgiving thread? Do you get dressed up?

My family always goes dressy casual. My inlaws dress in jeans and their beer tshirts. My DH and I get dressed nicely and dress our kids up too.

What does your family do?

usually shorts and a festive shirt. there's only a few of us, so nothing all out.

we're going to extended family this year, so i'll throw make up on this year. LOL i think it's supposed to be hot, so most likely shorts again.

We used to dress in our Sunday best, but now it's evolved (or devolved?) into nice, but not overly dressy. DH will wear khakis and a polo, I put the kids in cute outfits. Last year I think I wore jeans and nice blouse, but this year I might wear a skirt.

Casual. Nothing ripped or dirty or advertising beer, but not dressed up either. Gotta wear our eatin' clothes. ;) For us, it's hang-out-with-the-family time.

We're pretty casual, too. Jeans and nice sweaters/shirts are about as fancy as we get. :)

No one in our family dresses up for Thanksgiving. I do a 5 Mile Turkey Trot in the morning and then head to my grandmas. I shower and throw on the shirt we get at the race and jeans.

I put on my finest holiday sweats! I aim for the kids to get out of jammies & in to sweats.

We dress up on my side of the family. I usually wear a dress or black pants. No jeans. My parents have 30+ people ever year and that's pretty much the norm for everyone that attends.

My inlaws are pretty casual, since it is only 6 people. This year I will probably wear my nice jeans and a nice top.

We're pretty casual; jeans & tee shirts. We like to play games outside so it's best to be comfortable. And by "we play", I mean I watch my brothers & cousins tackle each other on the lawn as I nurse a beer. :)

Smart casual, as the cruise lines would call it. ;) Nice jewelry. Comfortable shoes. Someday, when I don't host, I would love to get my nails done the day before. I think that would be luxurious!

We don't dress up but we don't dress down either. I will wear a nice pair of jeans with heals and a sweater. Hubby usually does jeans and a button down shirt. My girls like to wear dresses. We go to my parents and it's usually a small crowd.

Comfortable, warm and cozy. Taking hot yoga in the morning, then will cook. Will probably take my dog for a long walk in the woods. My dressing up days are long gone (for Thanksgiving anyway).

Extremely casual!

I am usually in jeans and a sweatshirt, kids are in sweats/tees, DH is in jeans/jersey, and we all bring slippers!

It's the way I grew up, too. Very very laid back!

Casual pants, sweaters and tops. No t-shirts (unless they're layered under a sweater or shirt), no sweat pants, no hoodies.

When I was a child, my mom always bought me a super-fancy special dress to wear on Thanksgiving. All of the adults dressed up, too. For some reason, even though it's the same people that go to Thankgiving at my grandma's as when I was a child (adding a few children and sig other!), things have gotten very casual. People wear jeans/nice shirts. I'd love if we dressed up more!
