Tell me about visiting Disneyland CA in February. My daughter and I are considering a trip. It would be during Presidents Day week. What are the crowds like? How soon can I buy tickets for February? Planning 2 days in each park. Do you need lightning lanes? How is the weather? Anything else I should think about? Thank you!

Hello! I have nothing to add but I was coming here to ask the same question! We are thinking the end of February, just me and my DD. we've only been one other time at the end of May 2023 and I remember being freezing at night watching WOC. I'm curious how crowds and weather will be in February.

How is the weather?

Whether is extremely variable. It can be sunny (not necessarily hot) or pouring rain.

What are the crowds like?

Here is the resort calendar for 2025. The last weekend of Lunar New Year is often very crowded in DCA. The Lunar New Year Parade is quite popular although I don't know if the Coco construction will impact it.

DLR is different than WDW in that it caters more to those who live within a short drive. Looking at the 2026 Magic Key calendar, Saturday of Presidents Day weekend is blocked for all except the top MK. That should make Saturday a decent day for Disneyland crowd wise. Sunday and Monday will likely be very busy.

Planning 2 days in each park. Do you need lightning lanes?

While LL will make your visit more enjoyable, if you are spending two full days in DCA, you may not need it for those days. You might consider doing 3 days in DL and 1 in DCA or park hoppers.

We were at the Disneyland Resort the Thursday and Friday before President's Day this year. My key tip is that if it is raining, grab an umbrella and go to a park. We were able to do almost everything we wanted to at Disneyland Park without using Lightning Lanes by 2 pm because the rain scared off a lot of guests.

When we lived in Maine we often went that week because it was school break for our kids. It was busy but not terrible. We always had a great time and the weather was wonderful compared to Maine!

We were there the second weekend in February this year and felt it was busier than other so called peak times. I know that's not the same weekend you are looking at but we were very surprised how busy it was. It also rained a lot and I wasn't super excited about that. It rained on us in March too. We are very used to the rain and for some reason it hit us differently there.
