How about a WW challenge??? Inspired by the Alex challenge

OK guys, how about we join the Atkins group with our own challenge? My thoughts are to stay within points range for 1 week AND MORE importantly journal everything!!! Who's up for the challenge? We start tommorow(Wednesday).

How about it, who's going to join me? We can post daily if we want, or just at the end of the week. Then maybe we can reissue another challenge next week?

Ooh, great idea Princess Vija!! I'll do this with you, absolutely! Would banking points and then using them later in the week (only if we did it following WW guidelines) be okay during the challenge?
 
DiznEeyore, I would say that absolutely you can bank points! It is part of their program, so most definetely banking is a great idea. Thanks for the reminder on that one.

if we can bank pts then I'm in! I usually give myself one cheat meal a week (using bank pts) I would consider that following the plan, do you Princess Vija??

i think we should post daily either that night or next morning - better accountability

ohMom, I think we were probably posting at the same time! I forgot about the banking of points part, and I would say most definetely yes, yes, yes! And I do like your idea of posting daily.

I'm in. (starting tomorrow). Today was weigh-in, so I always cheat a little that day. But I'll be back and ready to go tomorrow.

I am really up for this challenge, but I am going Thursday on an Emmaus Walk weekend. I won't have control over the food served (but will try to control the portion I take) so my personal challenge for next week is to just maintain and not gain!

Okay, I'm in! Staying in points isn't hard for me, but journaling sure is! I count points in my head but forget to write them down. I'll start tomorrow, though!!
 
I'm in...I journal everyday (I do it on-line..than print it out and keep it in a folder). I also haven't hit the maximum point range for a day yet...and I've never used any banked points yet...of course this is just my second week so I'm following everything by the book.
 
This is great, because I've been slacking off lately on journaling my meals. Since I basically have the same number of points for breakfast and lunch every day, I just kind of guesstimate my dinner. I need to get back to being more disciplined!!!!
 
I'm in, I love a challenge too. When do we start posting? Are we posting the points we used or our journal entry?

Count me in, the more I have to account for the better off I am. I have been exercising and have been journaling most of the time, but I haven't been all the time. I am up for this challenge because I think it will remind me to count everything. Does the points you earn for exercise also count toward our points that we can use? I haven't been doing that in the past, nor have I been banking points, but thought I would ask. Here's to a journaling group starting tomorrow. Hip Hip Horray, Hip Hip Horray:D

As far as posting, start tommorow on this thread, and if you want to post your journal entry go ahead, otherwise maybe points used for food, points gained for exercise, banked points, and whatever else you want to add, ie water, vitamins, etc.

And yes, the points you use for exercise count. anything goes that is part of the WW plan.

Since I have doing this on my own, now I can check and see if I am doing it right! :) I always journal my food, exercise, water. I just eat in my range. I am not sure how the banking or exercise-earned points work. I don't think the challenge will be hard for me, but I can't wait to see how we are all eating! YEAH! Great idea, Princess Vija!

Should we put which book we are using in our post? In case there are point differences?
 
This is SO GREAT for the WW Vija! It was so nice of you to start this. I think it would be nice for you to use this as a weekly journal thread -- and then start a new thread next week. It would help to remind everyone to journal -- and you could get lots of ideas from each others food lists.

Remember that fitday.com is a wonderful tool. You might want to enter your daily food logs in to there so you can see your daily percentages of calories, fat, carbs and see which days you do the best on. I am a fan of weighing every morning. It is the best way for me to see how the foods that I chose the day before effected my weight for that day.
