Mind if I try my hand at a few of these????
1. I think this is what you are asking about... If you click on the Quick Reply Icon on the bottom right of a post, it allows you type in the box on the bottom of the screen and post a quick reply.
No, I mean an actual NEW thread, not just a reply. There used to be two buttons next to each other. I assumed the 'New Thread' was removed to avoid confusion. Just was looking for a confirmation...

The New ones should work, The old ones... Well, the language used to generate them is no longer available. (That's Tech talk for"no", unless Alex can convince VBulletin to make a count-down timer VBSCRIPT )
:jumping2:
Well, Alex will have to answer this one. I'm a programmer myself and have developed a way to have countdowns similar to the old ones - albeit they do not count down, but are much cooler(I'm biased) than the tickerfactory ones, etc.

actually I never really noticed it was gone.. having started a few threads that way though I'm glad they took it out

I think it would be kewl if the "Poll Threads" could be moved to a Sub-Forum of the "Community Board" and previewed at the top with the "Congrats/Birthday" and "United We Stand" Threads! :cheer2:

THANKS, ALEX! We've been complementing you on how fast the CB has been running....but not sure if you have seen that thread! :sunny:

we may be doing some board re-arranging soon
Do I detect a "BWAHAHAA HAHA" in your voice?

Hey, I have a question, is there a "recommended place" to store your pictures? people ask me all the time how to do it. Since not everyone has access directly to the Dis servers ;), or their own webserver, I am just curious. If possible, would you throw up an FAQ that I can quote?????

Please and Thank You...

:jumping2:

Hey Master Alex, I just sent a PM to the wrong person; there used to be a way to recall it as long as it had not been read. Is there any chance we can have that feature back....I mean a lust-note to my DW should not fall into the wrong hands, esp since I can't always spell.....

:lmao: An accidental lust-note from someone would make my day...a good, healthy laugh!! :lmao:

Why do we have to sign into the individual boards seperately? If I sign into the CB and then go to the BB, I have to sign in again! :confused3

I don't have that problem. When I sign into the dis I just make sure that the remember me box (Or whatever it says) is checked. I often have up like 3 or 4 boards at a time and then used the tabbed browsing in Firefox or Netscape.

I never have to sign in! Maybe it's how your cookies are set?

::yes:: I check the boxes when I sign in, too. I have dial up ISP, I don't know if that makes the difference or not! :confused3

hmmm I used to have dial up, but we finally got cable! I have the dis saved in my bookmarks and when I come to the page I'm signed in. Maybe check your cookies and also depending on your browser check what your privacy settings are under the password area and see if you have something clicked to not remember them.
