Well, dznyntnh, I'm glad you said that as it reflects my underlying question. I hope this doesn't upset anyone, and I don't mean to be rude, but I don't fully understand tipping a housekeeper. I mean--that's their job. You tip waiters, but they only make like $2 something an hour. Granted, I'm sure the housekeepers don't make a lot, but I just never saw housekeeping as a group that got tips except in really fancy hotels until about 5 years ago.
Again, I don't mean to hurt feelings or upset anyone, but in a way, it just seems like more of a bribe. Am I missing something? Just behind the etiquette curve? Maybe when I get there and have a great one, I'll feel differently.
