What is your house set for when you are home?

68, but goes down to 65 after 10pm

In the summer, the AC is usually set to 72 or 73

The downstairs thermostat is set on 72 and the upstairs one is set on 67.

When we are home, it's at between 64 and 65. It goes down to 60 when nobody is home and when we are sleeping. Brr... I hate it.

Right now we keep it at 72 when we are home during the day, 75 during the day at work and then down to 68 at night. It's mostly the A/C all the time ... Haven't really turned it off yet this year.

67-68 in the winter, 72-74 in the summer. I don't like the house to be too hot in the winter, the air starts to seem stale.

64 if Dh isn't at home, 58 if he is... :rolleyes1 Dh prefers to keep it set to 55 all the time to keep the gas bill down. He says if you're cold, put on another sweater and grab a cat and a blanket to stay warm! :rotfl: I turn the heat up when he's gone to warm the house up for the day, then turn it off before he gets home.

In the summer, we used to keep the air conditioning set to 78 or 80, but we now use solar power for all our electricity, so this summer I get to keep the air conditioning at whatever I want! :cool1:

Now if we could just afford to convert the gas furnace over to electric, then I'd never freeze in my own house again.

68 during the day, 62 at night. It stays at 62 during the day when people aren't home too, although I'll admit that when I'm home alone I don't override the thermostat. I prefer it at 62.

It's set at 68 when we're home. Although sometimes I get so chilly lately that I bump it up to 70.

At night it's set to 64...We have two little kitties who spend most of the night cuddled up to us under the blankets!

72 all the time...anything lower & I'm freezing.
(I can't find the freezing smilie. Is it gone?)

Wintertime- 62 all the time.
Summertime- 75 when we are home and 80 when we are on vacation.

We use timer thermostats so it goes up and down as the day goes on. First thing in the morning it goes up to 72 for 2 hours while everyone gets ready for school and work. Then it goes down to 65 during the rest of the day til just before dinner time when it goes up to 70. Over night it goes back down to 65 again while everyone is sleeping. We keep the AC doing a similar pattern in the summer.

72 during the day. 65 at night.

Does anyone know why at 72 degrees in the summer, it's warm enough for shorts. But 72 degrees in the winter is cold enough to wear a sweater. :confused3 Just one of those things that make me go hmm..

68 during the day, 62 at night. It stays at 62 during the day when people aren't home too

This is my house exactly. On occasion we will turn it up during the day and yet again on occasion I turn it way down to 58 at night. :thumbsup2

Usually around 65-70, summer or winter.

70-72 when we are home. We have the thermostats set to go down to 65 during the day and when we sleep.

When I was young our home was drafty and I was never warm. I swore when I had my own house I would be warm.:thumbsup2
