House sitters ?

why do people have them when they are on vacaton? To feed thier pets?

We have my 20 y/o BIL stay at our house when we're out of town. Benefits us because our house isn't empty and it benefits him because he gets out of his parents house for a while.

We just like knowing that someone will be in our house while we are gone in case something happens. We had an issue with our basement flooding and after that for my own peace of mind I liked knowing the house was not unattended.

we get a house sitter everytime we leave too. Makes me feel better if someone is here staying with the pets and we dont have to worry about the house.


We have 3 great housesitters and we use whoever is available at the time. 2 of them are college kids that look for a place to stay, and one of them is a single mom who likes to be closer to her work.
