I am thinking about doing the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. Has anyone been? What was your impression?

Is this meal on the DP?

I've been wondering the same thing....anybody??

House Of Blues is not on the Plan, and I heard or read somewhere that pictures were not allowed to be taken inside either. I have been to the one in New Orleans a few years ago, but never been to Orlando.

I'd love to know more about it...how's the food? What about the music? Please share your experiences!

The food is buffet BBQ style...pretty good actualy. The gospel music is great...you really need to make reservations a few week ahead as it sells out quick. I told my wife and kids that this counted as sunday mass!

Gospel brunch is fantastic. The food is good and there's plenty of it. the music is southern gospel/soul and is played for just the right amount of time. I'd recommend reqeusting a table near the back if you want to try to get to the buffet without everyone seeing you! repeatedly!

My parents have done this at several different HoB and talked me into reservations all off us (my family of 4 and my brother) to do this on Christmas Eve! I'm excited. It will be different. I called about 2 weeks ago to make our reservations and the lady I talked to said we were the first ones to have reservations for Christmas Eve! That most people don't even realize they have the show that day! So... we will up front and center! We are on the dining plan and even though it's a little more than we planned to pay oop (we're also eating at the Blue Zoo) my parents said they would pick up the tab - but right now it's on MY credit card!!!

I'm not too worried about it. They'll spend a fortune on my kids while we're there so it all comes out in the wash!

Have a GREAT time on your trip!!!

Heard it was great...but did you know Dan Ackroyd is selling off HOB? The whole deal, including the club here in Chicago. :sad2: I sure hope the conglomerate he is selling to keeps the same atmosphere/attitude. Sorry no help on the DDP thing, but if you call see if any changes are occuring.
