House of Blues Reviews or Suggestions?

I want to take my boys for some food and music. Any reccomendations?

We have only been once, for the gospel brunch. While my DH didn't enjoy the gospel part of it so much (just not his thing) we both agreed that the food was absolutely fantastic! We have already booked to go back in April. Why not check out the menu (or the kids menu if your boys are that age) to see if there's anything there that appeals to you? Personally I don't think you'd be disappointed in the food, but we all have different tastes.

We went in April and I didn't like it. I had chicken fingers and french fries and both were very soggy..not crispy at all. my friends really enjoyed their meal though.

I don't know why, but we keep trying this place...and every time we get bad service and the food is not that great.

Last time, we got smart. Went straight to the bar and had a few drinks. The 'tender was great!

Now we are from North Louisiana and love cajun food but their Jambalaya was extremely HOT, HOT, HOT. Everything else we had was wonderful. My DS loved the hamburger & we liked their salads.

I'd like to check out the Gospel brunch, I've never been on a Sunday but I love that jazz music from HOB, and not sure of what type music other than the jazzy blues & old hymnal they might play. I'm a real country "gitter dun type gal" and LOVE that music, and it's not for all people. But, I'm gonna miss church that day, so why not.

What type foods do they have on the brunch? Is it worth the $31.00?

I really liked the House of Blues. I thought the food a notch or 2 above theme/chain restaurants. I loved the corn bread with maple butter.

Spoke to reservations people at HOB. They told me that they don't take reservations before two weeks prior to reservation date.
However, there is a reservations link, on the HOB, Orlando web site.
I would suggest making a reservation on the web site first, they send you a confirmation number.
If that doesn't work call, but do have a reservation, prior to arrival.
They tend not to have any open walk in tables, during the busier times of year.

DH and I really like it, and I've been with my sister and her kids, and friends of ours with their kids and they all really liked it. The cornbread is amazing! I like the meatloaf and DH likes anything spicy. I've found the service to be a bit slow when it's crowded (dinner time especially) but otherwise the service has been quick and friendly.

We made our House of Blues reservation with Disney Dining at 180 days out. No problem.

Me and the DW have eaten there 3 -4 times, (last time got to see BB King!)
And usually make it a point to go at least once during our trips. The food is southern/Cajun style, but there are some less spicy choices, too. the ceaesar salad there is one of the better ones in "the world" (weird , that is the one thing We seem to eat just about everywhere when we're on vacation ). They have a decent kid's menu , too I would also recommend it.
