House of Blues - Downtown Disney

I have never been to House of Blues before, can someone help me understand what it is? Is it like a big auditorium where you see a concert, or do you eat while you're seeing a concert? I'm a little confused. Thanks!

We LOVE the food at House of Blues - in fact we were just talking about before I saw your post. They do occasionally have acts inside the actual restaurant later in the evenings but the big shows take place in their venue next door which is paid admission. The food is very, very good. We have tried lots of different things and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is fun and the music is great as well as the artwork they have displayed.

I'm trying to understand this place....I know the concert hall is separate from the restaurant. So then how does the Gospel Brunch work? Do you eat at the restaurant and then go next door for the music?

I haven't ever been to the Gospel Brunch but I know someone who has and I believe that the Gospel Brunch takes place inside the restaurant while you are eating. That was my understanding from her description of it.

I LOVE the HOB too...except I am upset with them right now because they took not one, but TWO of my favorite dishes off the menu, including the most fabulous pasta I have ever eaten. Last time they did this they got so many complaints they put it back on...I hope that happens again!

That being said, they do often have live music in the evenings, especially on the weekends. I believe the gospel brunch does take place inside the restaurant portion.

HOB also has some great cornbread and you can buy the mix for it at the HOB company store.

Do you know exactly what they took off the menu by chance?
