I just noticed hours have been extended for the week we are there, beginning March 10th. The problem is park open at 8am instead of 9am. I'm really not happy about this. Am I the only one that would ever complain about earlier hours? Ha! 9am was much more do-able for rope drop. We are already an hour behind FL, plus that is the week following time change. So us getting up at 6am to be out the door at 7am, will be like getting up at 4am! How in the world do people coming from even earlier time zones manage?! Now that I'm done crying about it....I feel like I need to re-evaluate my FP plan, I had it timed so carefully about how to use my first two hours and then start in with FP's. Now I'll have an extra hour in there to work with, and will likely be ready to hit those FP rides earlier. Or just have an extra hour to do other things? I have my ride order set....what to you all usually do in the case?

I feel your pain. I am a rope drop person and I have this not so delightful 4 yo to deal with that won't nap and I am going to possibly need to sleep in. So I am going to have to be relax and patient and enjoy the crowds and while appreciating mid day fast passes and a touring plans.

Feel the same way, we only have a day and a half. MK open till Midnight the first night, and then an 8 am RD? Almost impossible..But as my kid told me, "We can Sleep when we get home"!

We are in the same boat, but we plan to hit AM EMH at 7am:( Oh well. Our FP don't start until ~10am. We plan to hit a bunch of other popular rides that get busy later, like Pooh, Tea Cups, Small World, POTC, JC, Buzz, and whatever else fits before first FP. I decided to not bother changing any. Finishing our 3 FP+ before 1pm seems fine. It's not like we are going to get another FP+ for 7DMT or other headliners during such a busy time. I view it as less time wasted at the kiosk, because we are riding those rides earlier.

My initial reaction was pretty negative too. Not thrilled with getting up even earlier and I had also meticulously planned my FP times. I've moved to trying to embrace it more now. Getting up will suck for sure, but after the initial shock and grumbling at the alarm, we'll have an extra hour in the park with even fewer people than would have been there for a 9am rope drop. I did move a couple of fastpasses to an earlier time and didn't have much trouble getting what I wanted. SDMT took a little effort, but with persistent checking over a couple of days I got the exact time I wanted to move to for that too. We'll roll with it!
