Hotwire Shipping Time Frame??

I need to order my tickets through Hotwire and I'm wondering how quickly they come. We're leaving for a beach vacation next week and I'm afraid they'll come while we're away if I order now, and I'm afraid to wait until we return on the 13th as that may be too late to get them in time for our June 30th departure.

Has anyone ordered and received them within two weeks?

I joined and ordered on a Saturday and they arrived on Thursday. If that is typical, you should be ok.

I ordered some about a month ago and they came in about 7-8 days; I just ordered some more this past Monday and they arrived three days later!! I do not think that you will have any problem - from what I've read, you should receive them in 7-10 business days and it's seems they are pretty good with that rule of thumb

I made 2 sepearte purchased on 5/20, and I hope they will come on 6/1 since they did not arrive last Saturday.

Yeah, my stuff took about 4 days. I placed 3 different orders in the past month. They are pretty good about getting things out.

Thanks for all the good comments! I went ahead an ordered this morning and will have my neighbor be on the lookout in case they don't arrive by Saturday.

I wouldn't despair. Don't forget about the Memorial Day holiday, so the 30th and 31st weren't delivery days. You'll probaby get them very soon.

OK, I'm starting to get worried. I ordered mine on May 27th thinking I had plenty of time since people mentioned getting their order 2-3 days later. Well, I still haven't gotten my order and I need it no later than Friday because we leave for Disney this Saturday! Guess I shouldn't have waited so long. I forgot about the Memorial Day holiday.

You should still be ok. Hopefully you will get it tomorrow. You could always call Hotwire to find out when they sent them, though. I think mine were only in the mail for 2 days from the postmark.

I am also kind of worry. I made 2 sepearte purchases on 5/20, 1 on 5/21. They are not in my mailbox as of today (6/2). I called and they said they were shipped on 5/21. My cc card had been charged.

They told me they use first class mail. I hope they will use priority mail for large amount order. And I hope they will take responsibility if mail got lost which I don't expect this to happen. I am still waiting for them, it just made me nervous since I order many GCs. 6/3/04

Jennylen ~ mine came Airborne Express. It wasn't even that large of an order. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that yours, Poohbear's and madelyn's arrive today!

My vouchers finally arrived today (Fri) and just in time since we leave tomorrow! I called Hotwire on Thurs and they told me the order shipped June 1. I placed the order May 27. She was able to give me an Airborne tracking number but the strange thing is that Hotwire had them Airborne shipped to my post office, then the post office delivered them to me. On Thurs the tracking showed that it had arrived at my post office, so I was hoping they would be delivered to me the next day. Thank God they were. If not, I would have been so frustrated knowing that they were sitting at the post office while I had to board the plane to Orlando! Anyone know why Hotwire would have my order sent to the post office then delivered to me? Guess it would be cheaper for them if they have multiple orders to addresses that my post office services?

One of my order finally came today through Airborne, and I hope rest of orders will come tomorrow. I purchased lots of the GCs for memorial day shopping and I had missed it; I still hope I can start using them this weekend's circuity city purchase.

Madelyn, Airborne partnership with USPS last year. USPS will handle majority part of Airborne local delivery.

I read the liability coverage of mail on Airborne: $100-$500 if pay additional. I will check with hotwire about this since many of us order gift cards, themepark tickets; it's so easy to go over a thousand dollars per order.

Found out why my multiple orders took more than 2 weeks and still not here - USPS/DHL holding the mails as hostages for past 12 days at the distribution center:

Airborne/DHL and USPS are having business relationship and we expect employees in both parties involved in this business have some kind of knowledge or know about this. It’s VERY SAD to hear 50% of their employee that I communicated to (call centers and local office here) and telling me - DHL and USPS had no business together and USPS don't deliver for DHL/Airborne while one of the party (USPS or DHL) is hold my orders for more than 12 days now and still had no clue where or what to do with the package. USPS can not track Airborne/DHL mails. DHL claimed their hand is clean if they had dropped the mail to USPS.

I had sent the emails to 3 parties (hotwire/dhl/usps) and hope they will locate the mail. My order is over thousand dollars.
