Hotwire Members - got a question

I joined Hotwire and plan to cancel it after the one month trial. I am considering purchasing the gift cards. It states the $5 is credited back to my account 1-2 billing cycles. This statement is confusing since I know my credit card is charged the day I make a purchase. If I'm planning only to be a member for one month, should I even purchase these cards? I would only want them if I can get the 20%. Thanks for your help!!!

I have always been credited by the 3rd business day of the next month after I make my purchase. If you cancel before you receive the credit you will not get it, so do not cancel until you receive it. They give you a month free plus $10 off your first order, so you do not really have any money at risk anyway.

It is only $7.95 for a month. That is almost the amount you'd save on a single gift card.
