Hotwire/Hard Rock question

I read someplace that when making reservations on Hotwire, that I should pick Universal/Wet & Wild for the location, and that Hard Rock will be the only 4-1/2 star hotel that shows up. Is this true? We really want to stay there, but I'm afraid that I'll end up with another 4-1/2 star hotel if I take the chance!

But before you bid, call the hotel directly and ask if they have any rooms available at the Entertainment Rate. You may get the same rate, and it can be cancelled

So far there ARE no other 4 1/2 star hotels besides the HRH in that area.

I do agree with taylor, if you book through the hotel you can change or cancel, not with Hotwire. For my dates, the PBH was on Hotwire for $145 a night for a standard, while on Hotel Kingdom the rate was $189 a night with a fourth free day which equals about $142 a night. I use biddingfortravel.com before bidding at priceline.com to see what hotels have been successfully bid on. Is there any similar site for hotwire.com that lists all areas and not just Orlando?
