Hotwire 3 1/2*

I'm new at the discount hotel websites and need to find an inexpensive but clean place for 2/23 - 2/28. I saw a 3 1/2* on Hotwire for the WDW area for $49.00. Search here is disabled so thought I'd ask if anyone has any idea what comes up as a 3 1/2* on Hotwire in the WDW area. Hotwire's own description says their 3 1/2* hotels are Radisson and Crowne Pointe. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has received a 3 1/2* from Hotwire. Thanks!

You might try checking www.betterbidding.com You will need to see what amenities are posted on Hotwire for the hotel you are interested in...that is the way the place can be identified. Also be sure to specify the exact area the hotel is in. Good luck.

I plugged in your dates on hotwire, and saw a 3.5* hotel for $49, just like you mentioned. The ameities listed for this property were : Restaurant, Fitness, Business, Laundry. Comparing this result with the Florida Hotwire listing at BetterBidding one finds a match on location + amenities + star rating. Your hotel in question most likely is : DoubleTree Club Orlando - Lake Buena Vista .

We booked that same hotel through Hotwire for $49 for our first couple of nights of vacation 1/1 and 1/2. The Doubletree Club Orlando is located right at the entrance to Downtown Disney so location was great! The outside of the hotel was very loud & bold, to say the least. But the lobby & rooms were more subdued in color & very clean. We had no complaints whatsover except for their pool (they do have one even though they don't list it as an amenity on Hotwire!) - the pool was constantly in the shade so we didn't end up using it even though it was certainly warm enough. The best part was that they put us on the top floor facing towards Epcot. We got to see Illuminations from our window one evening!! Probably could have seen the fireworks from Pleasure Island as well, but we didn't stay up that late!
