Any recommendations for budget friendly hotels that are within walking distance to the convention center, preferably 10-15 minutes?

Thank you.

You can't get any closer to the convention center than the full-service Marriott and Hilton. Of the two, I STRONGLY recommend the Marriott.
Yeah, literally right next door, but pricey. There is also the new Westin right on the other side that is as close as those 2.
I agree- the Marriott is a great place. You can't get any closer to the convention center than the full-service Marriott and Hilton. Of the two, I STRONGLY recommend the Marriott.
Marriott is also one of the most expensive during convention dates. There are great deals to be had on off nights for parks stays if you don't mind the hike but if there is a convention, rates shoot up.I agree- the Marriott is a great place.
I'd say it's more like 10 at a leisurely pace. Equidistant to the parks. Entrance is right there off Katella. You might have to walk a minute more depending on what park of the convention center you go to.How far of a walk is it to the Convention Center if staying at one of the hotels on the corner of Katella/Harbor like Hyatt House or Candy Cane? Looks pretty close on a map (like 5 minute walk) but I can't tell where you might enter the Convention so no idea if you have to loop around a long ways or something. Thanks!

According to Google Maps, it's an 11 minute walk to Disneyland entrance and 8 minutes to the convention center , as has been my experience . So I guess you are right, if you want to split hairs like that.It is not equidistant to the parks.
From any hotel on the corner of Katella and Harbor, its no more than a 5 minute walk. And a lot of that might be waiting for the crosswalk signal to change over. It's literally a 2 block walk.
