Hotels with suites? Best/Worst?

We're looking at staying off-site for our trip in March...ideally we'd like to find something that's a decent amount less than the standard room rate at the Values at Disney during that time (~ $129/night). We'd like to be within a 10 minute drive of WDW gates.

You can stay in a 2 BR within the Disney gates at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for $80-$100 a night. Check out the "we loooooooove bonnet creek" thread.

We've stayed at Windsor Hills and our family loved it. They have a large pool with water slide a private movie theater (my daughter's favorite).
It's a great family resort with a lot to do!

We liked the Hawthorne Suites in Lake Buena Vista. Some nights they offer free wine and snacks and they have a mediocre breakfast each morning. It's pretty close to Disney.

Another recommendation for Buena Vista Suites. You get a large 2 room suite, - with two queens in one room and a living area with sofa bed, microwave, and refrigerator in the other . Full buffet breakfast every morning. and VERY easy drive onto WDW property.

I completely agree with the suggestion to stay at Windsor Hills! My family loves this resort community. The pool area is great. Windsor Hills is very close to World Drive (less than 2 miles).

It would probably be cheaper to stay at Windsor Hills than an offsite hotel suite. In addition, you will have a full kitchen, in unit laundry and 2-3 bedrooms. If your kids go to bed earlier, not a problem compared to staying in a hotel room since everyone will have their own space.

I checked vrbo and they show 2 and 3 BR units with a price of @ $85 per night for the month of March.

If you're not comfortable renting privately, you can use a management company (like floridasunvacationhomes or allstarvacationhomes) which will run you around $100 per night; however, I know that Florida Sun offers a discount of 10 or 15% if you're staying more than 7 nights.

Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. Free cooked to order breakfast and managers reception at night with free drinks and light snacks. Again a two room suite. I just stayed in February and would return again

I'm another one for Embassy Suites in LBV. Love them. Cook to order breakfast and buffet, daily managers reception with free snack and drinks, 3 pools. They have free transportation as well to the parks. Would definantly stay there again. Laundry area too, didn't think I would use it but I did.

We just stayed at Royale Parc Suites for the 7th year and had a great time with lots of room...very close to the theme parks and Old Town too. They run specials quite often. They have a complimentary breakfast and manager's reception that are great to hit too.
