HI
I am looking for any information relating to Hotels/ Suites which accomodate 6 persons in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando. Has anyone stayed in a hotel which sleeps 6 in this area. Thanks.

How about the Buena Vista Suites? Very reasonably priced. They sleep 6 too.
Location is very good. the road its on goes straight to Disney's entrance, and only a couple of minutes drive to downtown disney.

Caribe Royale is the Buenva Vista Suites sister hotel and is located right next door. Its a bit more upscale though. They have 1 bedroom suites and 2 bedroom villas.

The Sheraton Safari is located in a really good location. 1 minute drive to the downtown disney entrence, lots of eateries within walking distance. Website says they have 90 suites and 6 executive suites.

You could also try the Comfort Inn Lake Bueva Vista. All rooms are classed as 'semi suites' (they have microwave and fridge and coffee maker) but only 2 beds in each room. Prices are very reasonably, sometimes as low as $40 a night, so you could go for 3 rooms here. Location wise its also really well situated, just up the road from the Sheraton.

Hope this helps

the Embassay Vacation Resort Grand Beach are three bedroom apartments.. and will easily sleep 8... and usually pretty good value too..

I stayed in the Staybridge Suites which were nice and well located. They have a king bed in one bedroom, 2 doubles in a second bedroom (both have own bathroom) and a sofa bed in the lounge.

I have also heard that the Cypress Point is a nice one, this was just next door to the Staybridge. :)

Thanks everyone for your help...ideally I was lokking for somewhere which is walking distance from Downtown Disney, as if I can avoid car hire I will. We will only be staying for a week as we hope to do a cruise at one end of the holiday. I would not use the car really only to transfer back and to form the airport / port, and would be happy to rely on shuttle buses to Disney.

The Staybridge had a shuttle bus to the Disney Parks. At night we could walk to the likes of Crossroads plus many other restaurants and got the hotel to call us a cab when we went to Downtown Disney (more or less every night) as it was just a little too much to walk. This cost about $10 I think.

TA - I'm sure you know this already but I'm just mentioning it in case you don't - but there are no buses to the parks from DTD. Just so you can factor this in :thumbsup2

try Cypress Pointe stayed here 3 yrs ago place was fantastic jacussi bath
and clse to Disney , shops and resturants.

We often stay at the Buena Vista Palace. You can walk to DD (5 mins, less from the suites) and there are regular shuttle buses to the parks. They've just upgraded their rooms too.

Another vote for Cypress Pointe, I am pretty sure they do a shuttle bus to the parks.

Thanks...I didn't know that actually. I would have to go for a hotel with shuttles. :thumbsup2

Have you thought about a villa. we stay in one as we don't want to share a bedroom for 2 weeks!

We usually stay in a villa. This time we will only be in Orlando for 7 days as we are planning on taking a disney cruise. So I wanted to be a bit closer to the action and not to have to drive for half an hour there and back every day. Plus in the evening I want to be able to walk to Downtown or to restaurants nearby, rather than drive. If it was 2 weeks I would definitely go for a villa, but I figure we can cope for 7 nights in a suite.
