Hotels near KSC

Has anyone stayed in any of the hotels in the Titusville, Cocoa, or Cocoa Beach area? DD is going to Space Camp at KSC and we need to be in the area as it is DAY camp- can't see making the run from Orlando every day! We stayed in the Holiday Inn Titusville, across from the launching pads, to see the Columbia launch in Feb. '03 (sob...fabulous experience, but such a tragedy). Anyhow, the Holiday Inn was the PITS, would never stay in that particular site again. Howard Johnson Express in Cocoa Beach has pretty good rates...if anyone has any recommendations or suggestions, please post!
