Hotels near BWI

We are flying to Orlando from Baltimore in August. Got a great rate on SW and a good time. We leave at 7:30 am. We've thought about going down to stay at a hotel the night before since we'd have to leave our house around 4 AM if we drive down that morning. Friends have told us that if you stay one night at some hotels that you can park there for the whole week, eliminating the need for long term parking. But they don't remember the hotel they stayed at. So I'm hoping someone here can let me know if this is true, and if it is, what hotel is it?

When is your trip? I talked a buddy of mine into driving us down to BWI at 4 am so we don't have to worry about parking

I did that with my mom a few years ago - I didn't want to have to get her up at 3:15 am.

The cheapest one I found was the Red Roof Inn, but take a hair dryer with you and leave it in your car.

I took a shower and then realize they didn't have hair dryers; and it was really, really cold when we left that morning.

That was 2004, so they may have added them by then. There was a fabulous restaurant in I think the Sheraton two hotels over from us. We had a lovely dinner.

The driver was wonderful; and he picked us up both going out and coming back - he remembered us. They have a series of phones in the airport lobby that go directly to the hotel for pick-up. You have to call only when you have received all of your luggage.

Thanks for assuring me that this is okay. I was having nightmares that we would do this and come back to find our car was towed! I will be checking our that website.

It may cost you more than just parking at the airport, and either way you have to get up way too early. We thought about doing that once, then I read the reviews on "trip advisor" on the hotels used by park, sleep, fly . . . I wasn't willing to chance them.
No offense to Missytara, but I wouldn't trust a 5 year old review - check the hotels out yourself.
