Hotels Cocoa Beach

We just returned Wednesday night for a short, 4-night stay at Cocoa Beach.

The Courtyard by Marriott and the Hampton Inn looked nice. Realize that there is still a lot of repair and construction going on over there. For instance, the Hilton - right on the beach - is undergoing a major renovation.

We stayed right next door to the Hilton, at "The Resort on Cocoa Beach." This is a timeshare resort, but it can be rented for cash. I was very pleased with the resort - but I'm not sure if you're looking for a condo-style unit. If so, I uploaded pictures from our stay if you'd like to see them, at:

Good luck - and PM me if I can answer any more questions about the area...

We like to visit Cocoa Beach over Fourth of July and see the beautiful fireworks display out over the ocean from our balcony. We have stayed at the Hampton Inn, the Doubletree, as well as the Courtyard by Marriot. These are right near each other a few hundred yards apart along A1A, about 1/2 mile from Ron John Surf Shop. They are all nice, but we liked the Doubletree best. We thought the rooms were comparable, but the pool area and access to the beach was nicer from the Doubletree. The pool even has their own steel drum band playing out by the bar. The whole area is decorated in a tropical theme, with swaying palm trees and several levels with lounge chairs so you are not right on top of the pool if you don't want to be. The Hampton Inn had no pool bar or band, the pool area is a basic rectangle, but they give you a free continental breakfast. I forget what the Marriot pool area looked like, so it must not have been memorable.

All of these hotels have direct beach access. I especially liked the "cabana boys" bringing me drinks with little umbrellas in them out at the Doubletree pool!
