I have reservations with HotelKingdom.com and none of the phone numbers are in service. They haven't been for a few days now. As of today, the website is no longer working either. I have tried to email them but get a reply basically saying the mailbox is full. The resort does have my reservation but I need to change or cancel it but can't. I can't change it with the resort as they say they get them through HotelKingdom and can't make any changes to the reservation. If I don't show up, I will still be responsible for the entire amount. Anyone else having the same issues trying to contact them? What kind of options do I have? Dispute it with my credit card company? It's actually my debit card so I would hate to have them take the entire amount out of my checking account. And the resort is staying hands-off at this point. Any ideas??

If the website is disabled and the phones are disconnected, I would immediately cancel my debit card and make other plans. In the past there have been people who had reservations and the companies went out of business. They lost their reservations and deposit $$$.

And this probably won't work...

The Debit card has been "preauthorized" in most cases and the bank will take the money. I would talk with my bank about what I needed to do to protect myself.

Please let us know how it goes for you cjsmom97. I hope that all gets resolved for you.

I just went to their website and it was up and running. I didn't call the number though.

I hope you are able to get your situation resolved. Good Luck and keep us posted!

Phew! I've been watching the Hotel Kingdom website and wondering what the OP would do if they were gone. It's good to see that they are apparently back.

As it turns out, they are back up and running. However, prior to today, the resort confirmed that none of their means of contact were working either. That included their access into the book of rooms and rate information. They aren't getting an explanation as to what has happened but simply that they are up and running right now. So my issue is all taken care of... thanks to the most helpful reservation person ever!!! A letter is on the way to his supervisor noting just that. We discussed the entire situation after they were back 'online' and something still doesn't seem right. They are too big to have fallen off the grid for many days without even a mention on their website about technical difficulty with phone systems and such. I couldn't see someone like Expedia or even a hotel like Comfort Inn or Hyatt going dark for almost a week. Just doesn't add up. I will however be very cautious before booking through them for a while. Perhaps there are some financial issues going on there and they may be on their last leg. Who knows. Hopefully that isn't the case, but with the economy being what it is, it's not a hard concept to swallow.

These facts alone are scary! They used to be a great resource for rooms; we used them in the past and I recommended them to a number of people up until a couple of years ago.

You might want to take a look at that site's Better Business Bureau rating. Last time I checked, it was an "F".

I had similar problems with them a few years ago...They use to be a great site to get great rates but when allmost the same thing happened to me i quit useing them.

I know I want be using them again either.

I just tried to upload their website and it will not work...I keep getting bad quest.....
