We are planning on taking a trip in Nov to Disneyland. I am in the process of looking for a hotel. We are going the week of Thanksgiving and the disney hotel is coming up @ 299.00 .... I dont want to spend that much. I have the Ent. book so I think I can get a good hotel for around 100.00 a night.
Do any of them have really neet swimming pools.....maybe with a water slide?
Any suggestions would be GREAT!!!

Thanks for you help.

I don't have any suggestions on hotels but it will probably be too cool to go swimming in an outdoor pool. Although, you're from Washington so you might be hardier than I! I chill very easily.

My guess is the temp. will be somewhere in the 60's.

Check Expedia. We just stayed at The Coast Hotel. It was $71 per night with one night free if we stayed over on a Saturday. I know I saw some other great rates on Expedia as well. The pool area was very nice, but no waterslide. (May be a little too cool anyway).

On my last DL trip, Expedia had a much better rate at the Disneyland Hotel than Disneyland did. I called Disneyland back and they matched the Expedia rate. You might want to give this a try.

For a trip I'm planning in December, Expedia has all of the Disney hotels at "buy 3 nights, get the 4th free". This gets the Disneyland Hotel down to a little under $200/night. If you're staying that long, you might want to check if they have this for November.

Besides the DLH, check out the 4 for 3 like the above poster suggested!!, the only pool I know of that has anything above ordinary is the Hojo's which is across the street about a 7 minute walk. There's no slides but there is a play area for kids with sprays of water and such. Also, the rooms there are very big with balconies, inside corriders and some rooms you can view the fireworks even! Also, the Desert Inn & Suites has an indoor pool if that interests you. www.anaheimdesertinn.com they have alot of different floor plans, they are very basic but clean and have a frig and microwave. They are about 3 hotels away from the pedistrian entrance crosswalk.

As for being too cool to swim, you never know, bring the swimsuits just in case! Last nov. it rained for our first three days and was HOT the last two(talking upper 80's low 90 maybe)!! The November we were there before that was 70's during the day all week and 60's in the evening.pirate:

you've probably booked by now and not sure if the deal is for thanksgiving dates as we were booking for Xmas, but the coast hotel has a website deal for about 67 a night at the moment. It's a nice hotel, pools big, but not a lot of seating around it and no slides or anything but, and for us it's a big but, you can see the fireworks and the parks if you request a disney view room. On days when you've not been to the park, it kind of gives you a little bit of disney magic - and on NYE when everything got just too crowded after 8.00, we came back to the room, sat on the balcony with margaritas and watched the fireworks crowd free.

If you're an AP holder, there are a few days (with limited availability) during November and December that you can get the Grand Californian or the DH for $159/night.

If a deal at a hotel becomes more important than a swimming pool, I can suggest Priceline. Use the 3 star option. In general I get Hyatt Regency Alicante, but I have gotton Marriott and Westcoast Anaheim. My lowest winning bid has been $27 and the highest $45.

Expect most hotels to have about a $10 -$12 parking fee.

For pointers on using priceline, try Bidding for travel

I have used Priceline.com maybe 10 plus times for the Disney area (3 star only.....I fear 2 star on hotel row!!!!)all with quite favorable results.

I especially love Hyatt Regency as a winning bid - they have a liberal upgrade policy! They are a mile away, but I have never had issue with the bus service.

I agree with Roy, there have been some great rates for AP holders at DLR. We just got back $99 for DLH!!!!
