Hi, my husband and I are planning an extra visit next year without the children, just for a week, this will be the first time we have been away longer than 1 night without the boys (ages then will be 13 & 9) and we would love some suggestions of hotels that others here on the boards have enjoyed staying at. We have only ever stayed at Quality Inn ( the one with the MCd's in the carpark) and many years ago the Howard Johnson Tower (I don't think that it is called this anymore, but it is near wet n wild) and since then we have always stayed in Villas. So any ideas of places that you have enjoyed would be great. Thanks

Are you looking for value, moderate, or deluxe-type accommodations?

The ultimate in romance and luxury has to be Grande Lakes Resort. Both the Ritz-Carlton and the JW Marriott are supurb resorts, with big, bright rooms and a gorgeous view. Look around for a special rate. Grande Lakes is well worth the money.

Gaylord Palms is another romantic resort. The center of the resort has 3 areas; an Everglades area, a Spanish fort inspired area, and a Key West area, complete with a lagoon and boat! It's all inside a 4 1/2 acre atrium. The rooms are big, comfortable, and most have a fabulous view.

Celebration has a very romantic hotel. It's intimate, charming, and has the benefit of being very near Disney but with the feel of being a million miles away.

The Renaissance Orlando has big rooms, an unbelievable Sunday Brunch, and incredible food at it's upscale restaurant, Atlantis.

If soft towels are important to you, the Peabody has the softest in town. :teeth:

Hi, suppose that we would be looking for a moderate to luxury hotel, we will be going around my 40th birthday, so would like to make it as special as possible.

Gaylord can be had for around $85.00 on Priceline and it is a resort.
