Hotel strategies for Land/Sea vacation

As we get closer to booking our 2025 cruise this week, I'm wondering if I should book our Disney resort stay (2 nights before the cruise with one park day) now or wait until a possible discount is accounted. Historic discount information seems to support that a discount might be offered for Oct 2025 (https://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/) but I'm wondering if I'm better off reserving a room now, at rack rate, rather than waiting for a discount that might not appear.

You can modify your hotel reservation if discounts come out next year.

If you're set on what nights and where to stay book now. I think I booked early and then modified my booking when a discount dropped for our one night post cruise stay.
