Yeah but I just don't really see what he could have said, like whether you wanted a "There will never be a mouse trap in another room" or if you wanted to know WHY there was a mouse trap in your room.
Either way, it was there so I don't think addressing your specific concerns matters all too much in the end. I do think they could have comped your stay more than they did though.

Who cares if they get a generic form letter back from the company? All that says to me is they didn't read my letter and they really don't care.
I can't say it really sounded like the OP wanted her money back either.
A Pizza place delivered Soda with an order that was 18 months expired. I called to tell them and the gentleman immediately told me he'd credit my account 75 cents, and he was so sorry.... Uh, no I wasn't calling to get a whopping 75 cents refund back I wanted them to throw out the expired soda and not sell it to other customers. What good did a generic sorry do for me?
