Hi all,

Been reading your posts for months. Many thanks for the tips. My family are going to DLP on the 18th July for 4 nights. I think I am more excited than the kids!

Have seen several of you mention getting in touch with your hotel pre trip to hopefully get some suprises on arrival.

Do any of you know if their is an email address for Santa Fe. I have looked all over and can only find a telephone or fax number.

This is our 2nd trip to DLP but the first time in a Disney hotel. I am keeping an open mind as I have seen mixed reviews of Santa Fe, relating to it being a bit run down.

In my opinion, its simply a room to sleep in as we plan to spend as much time in the parks as possible.

I cant help you on the email front but I can definitely recommend it. I stayed here August last year and as long as you are only seeing it as we did you will love it. We went by coach and it was the only option with the company but that was no problem to us. We seen it as a place to go to sleep, get ready and everything else that was needed was provided in the parks.

So for a comfortable bed and somewhere to put your suitcases it is great. Many of the 'bad' reviews come from the lack of facilities... ie. no swimming pool, no gym etc. But like I said, even Disney say that this is just a 'base-camp' if you will.

So you will have a great time :thumbsup2 I promise :goodvibes

I have stayed at the Santa Fe many times now, never had a problem, love the hotel. I always call them a few days before we arrive to ask for a nice quiet room on the ground floor.

Yes mate I am sure we will. Have heard about breakfast being hectic so will try to get in early. Will be having lunch in the parks/village.

Have booked restaurants each evening around 17:30 to hopefully not be too busy and to get out for parades.
Plaza garden 18th / Silver spur 19th / Cafe Mickey 20th and Walts on the last evening.

We booked up last year and it has flown by but this last few weeks are dragging!

Well with regards to breakfast - we went at 7AM and finished around 7:45 (ish) to allow us Extra Magic Hours. For high season, it was fairly quiet but did get busy towards us leaving. You can turn up for breakfast at whatever time despite what it may say. One of CM's said it was more of a ticket into the restaurant rather than an actual timeslot. So an early breakfast means less crowds AND EMH's!

We've stayed at Santa Fe a few times now, and as all the previous posts say, as you don't spend much time in the hotel, for somewhere to sleep and shower it's great. It doesn't look very attractive from the outside, but everything inside is more than enough for a comfortable and enjoyable stay :goodvibes

We now stay offsite when we go but only because it's cheaper (so we can go more often!) but definitely would recommend Santa Fe, and would stay there again if we did stay onsite. Have a fun trip! :thumbsup2

The santa fe is so fantastic! The breakfasts are busy but the food is great. The rooms are basic but the beds are incredibly comfy. The hotel is a great base and i would highly recommend it.

Gold Crest. 3 Nights, 2 day hopper. Travel day to get there and then overnight getting back to allow making good time and spend longer in the parks compared to other coach companies :cool1:

Ive been twice with Leger, travel day 1, 3 full days in the park, then leave after breakfast for travel home on day 5

I have heard that they where good but we couldn't afford the longer trip; how ever much we tried :sad1:. But Gold Crest also do longer trips I believe and I really recommend.

Can I ask what the surpises are? I have just booked 3d/2n at the end of Jan12 for my daughters' 4th birthday and would be interested in doing this too
