Can someone recommend a nice, not too expensive hotel near sea world? We're stating at POFQ for the first part of our vacation, then going to discovery cove and sew world. We originally booked a hotel that is turning out with all the fees to be very expensive. We just need someplace to stay, and don't want to drive miles and miles to get to sea world.

TIA!

It depends what you are looking for - just a standard hotel, or a resort?
How many people?

I recently stayed at SpringHill Suites near Seaworld and was very pleased with my stay.

I probably took some photos and can post them later this week.

Also, check out tripadvisor.

We're just looking for a decent, clean hotel for me, my husband and 7 year old son. Since we're doing Discovery Cove, and have the Sea World passes, we thought we might add an extra day at the end of our trip, but only if we could find a less expensive hotel than the Doubletree by Hilton we currently have reserved.

Oooh, I second Sprinhill! It's just a small Marriot hotel but that one is a preferred partner of sea world. You get free breakfast there, super clean, also...free quick queue passes!

Note: I learned the hard way, the qq passes are first come first served. The concierge desk opens at 7:00am. Go when they open. I went the first time on a Holiday weekend and they were gone within an hour. :(

Hotel is awesome though.

If Sprinhill is booked, go for the Fairfield next door which is a sister hotel and has the same perks.

Thanks. I reserved at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. When I googled Spring Hill, this is what came up. With our AAA discount, it is only slightly more to add one extra night than the fewer nights at the Doubletree.

What are the quick queue passes? Are they for everything or only certain things? We probably won't do major thrill rides as my DS isn't too much a fan of extreme rides. He really loves marine life, though, so we'll probably do a lot of shows and interactions.

I haven't stayed at that particular Fairfield but I'm sure it's almost the same as springhill. Both are Marriott owned smaller hotels. Very nice with free breakfast. Quickque is mostly for thrill rides, but it does get you on the sky tower and paddle boats :)
