Hotel questions??

We have stayed at the RPR and the HRH before but when I called to get rates for August, they gave me the best deal at Portifino. I went ahead and booked but after doing a search on these boards, I'm a little concerned that the walk will frustrate us after staying at the other 2 hotels. I really would prefer not to use the boat/van but we thought the walks from the other 2 were very comfortable. We have 3 children 12 and under, will they enjoy this resort? I don't mind trying something different but I don't want to walk twice as far either. Thanks.

The pool is great at the Portofino as well as the pizza restaurants. The walk is longer but we really enjoyed it. We found the walk to be about 5 minutes further but we were 4 adults and walk quite quickly. We did it for a whole week and never had a problem with it.

PBH is my favorite of the 3.
The walk is 8 minutes from the PBH boat dock to the HRH boat dock. It's a nice walk in the morning. I'd take the boat back in the afternoon.
You'll like the larger room size and huge bathroom. The slide at the pool is a lot of fun. Here's my page from last year with pictures of the walking path.

Ask for a room in the West wing and you'll be closer to the pool.
